PROTANK are engineers, consignors and constructors. As Engineers and Constructors we design, engineer, integrate, build and maintain facilities, plants and terminals. As Consignors we provide procurement and logistic services particularly in our area of specialization, liquid logistics. We are a South East Asian company with offices, representations and associates in the major cities in Asia.

History
The first company in the group, Protank Technologies, started as a small enterprise in May 1995. It started as a PETRONAS vendor company under the PETRONAS VENDOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM doing tank cleaning and tank maintenance.
New competencies were acquired and developed. As a strategy to manage growth these niche competencies were further pursued by specialist business units. In 2009, these specialist companies were amalgamated into a Protankgrup.
Protankgrup takes pride in our long standing relationship with L3 Mapps, COBHAM, Indal CURTISWRIGHT, which stretched back to the early days of Protank Technologies.
The Brand
The name ProtankGrüp with the umlaut signifies it as an international and borderless company.
The five lines represent a high performance fighter jets in aerial combat requiring precision, teamwork, courage, competencies and leading edge technology.
The five lines also represent the stalks of the paddy plant which in traditional societies represent life, growth, content and humility. With paddy it is about the size of the grains, read competencies and know-how. The tagline is Classical Malay "lagi tunduk lagi berisi" which means the more content and competencies and knowledge you have the more humble you are.
Organization Structure
The group consists of the following business units divided into 5 divisions ; Liquid Logistics, Naval and Marine, Aviation, EPCC and Corporate and Human Resource Development.
Each division is headed by a Vice President, under whom are the specialist business units.
Each business unit is headed by a Managing Director, Head or General Manager. The structure is very flat. The Presidents Office consist of the Quality, Health and Safety and Corporate Affairs Department.
